Survivors includes wife, Ollie Burton; daughters, Alisha Russell (Keith) and Thea Grover (Donald); siblings, Shirley Williams (Leroy, Sr.), Dr. Melvin L. Carter (Patricia) and Ray Alfred Carter; five grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; preceded in death by his parents.

MET MR BURTON AT THE NURSING HOME. I SAT WITH HIM AT LUNCH ON WEDS.HE WAS A GENTLEMAN AND WE HAD MANY NICE CONVERSATIONS .I ENJOYED HIS COMPANY.I MISS SEEING HIM BUT I AM HAPPY FOR HIM BECAUSE I KNOW HE LOVES JESUS AND JESUS LOVES HIM .WE WILL MEET AGAIN IN GLORYLAND.
