Claudis Cosey passed away at his residence in Baton Rouge on September 5, 2026. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Cosey; daughters, Claudia and Yasmine Cosey; Latasha Young and Tracey Ward; grandchildren, Zoe Butler, Layla Roberson, Serente (Alicia) and Destiney Cosey and Shinece Singleton; siblings, Raymond (Andrea) and Walter Cosey (Etta); and Betty Cosey White; sisters-in-law, Gaye and Bobbie Cosey; preceded in death by his daughter, Tawanna “Tecie” Peters; grandson, Tyree Singleton; parents, Viola and Marion Cosey; siblings, Herbert, Joseph, Larsell and William Cosey and Marion Cosey Hinyard.
